The RED traffic light guidelines for Omicron 2022....

Stratford Optometrists is an Essential Basic Needs Healthcare Service and at Red we will remain open and available for optometry services for the community.  So, we will be doing a couple of things differently to ensure the safety of our staff and vulnerable customers and to ensure that we can stay open.

Due to space constraints in our waiting room, there will be a limit of THREE customers in this area at any time, these are preferentially allocated to our pre-booked patients.  We encourage you to ring ahead or when you are in the car park to ensure that we can accommodate you inside before entering.

* Unfortunately this means that we cannot accommodate additional family members or caregivers in the practice at this time - We ask that you wait in the car during their consultation with us. Parents of children under the age of 12yrs, particularly for those having first consultations/reviews we will discuss our U12 Child Consultation COVID-19 Policy with you at the time of booking.

* If you are collecting/dropping off glasses/contact lenses or needing eyedrops and solutions we can bring items out to your car or deliver them in a contact-less manner. Please just phone us from the car.

DO NOT come into the practice:
-   if you have any cold or flu symptoms (however mild)
-   have recently been for a COVID test or are on your way to have one.
Our onsite team can provide a contactless service that is extremely safe if you are needing an urgent repair or collection of glasses.

Any symptomatic patients that are needing acute/urgent care due to altered vision, injury or a sore, red eye will be referred to the TDHB Emergency Room or Eye Specialists for Urgent care with all the necessary PPE requirements in place.

Surgical Masks must always be worn in the practice – one will be provided if needed and we will be asking you to swap into one from your cloth mask.  If you have a mask exemption, for your safety, we recommend you ring from your car or home to organise the best and safest way to get your vision needs assessed.

Please maintain your social distancing from other people who are not in your bubble whilst in the practice.

Please call us to reschedule your appointment if you are unwell or if you have any concerns about attending your appointment.
We understand this has been a challenging time for many and thank you for your cooperation.
Please be kind as we navigate our way through this together ❤

We look forward to safely seeing you again soon.

Phillipa, Carol, Morgan, Karen and Melissa 😊
