COVID-19 guidelines for 2022....
Stratford Optometrists is an Essential Basic Needs Healthcare Service.
This means that we will remain open and available for optometry services for the community at all times.
We will be doing a couple of things differently to ensure the safety of our staff and vulnerable customers and to ensure that we can stay open, like routinely wearing masks and using air purifiers and managing patient numbers in our small consulting rooms.
Due to space constraints within our consulting rooms, we will be limiting how many people can attend an appointment at any time.
** Unfortunately this means that we cannot accommodate multiple additional family members or caregivers in the practice at this time. **
(Parents of children under the age of 16yrs, particularly for those having first consultations/reviews we ask that you attend with just yourself and your child having the consultation)
PLEASE DO NOT come into the practice:
- if you have any cold or flu symptoms (however mild)
- have recently been for a COVID test or are on your way to have one.
Our onsite team can provide a contactless service that is extremely safe if you are needing an urgent repair or collection of glasses.
Any symptomatic patients that are needing acute/urgent care due to altered vision, injury or a sore, red eye will be referred to the Emergency department at New Plymouth or Hawera hospitals or to Taranaki Eye Centre directly for Urgent care with all the necessary PPE requirements in place.
Please call us to reschedule your appointment if you are unwell or if you have any concerns about attending your appointment.
We understand this has been a challenging time for many and thank you for your cooperation.
Please be kind as we navigate our way through this together ❤
We look forward to safely seeing you again soon.
Phillipa, Carol, Morgan, Karen and Melissa 😊
